Stay connected to the game with GameOnVT’s Indoor Women’s Lacrosse! Enjoy active pickup games, teamwork, and a chance to meet other local players. Geared toward adults with lacrosse experience, this program welcomes returning players and experienced regulars looking for a weekly opportunity to play. Goalies are encouraged!
Register as an individual and join teams randomly formed each week based on attendance. Whether you’re reconnecting with former teammates or meeting new ones, come ready to share the ball, get moving, and enjoy the game.
Program Details
Ages: Geared toward adults 18+. High school players may participate at GameOnVT’s discretion; contact us before registering.
Level: Geared toward players with prior lacrosse experience. Familiarity with passing, catching, positioning, and the rules is helpful.
Format: Pickup-style play with six field players plus a goalie per team.
Teams: Teams are randomly formed each week based on attendance.
Goalies: Goalies are encouraged.
Rules: Standard outdoor women’s lacrosse rules apply.
Officiating: Games are unofficiated; players are responsible for fair play and resolving calls respectfully.
Location: Indoor turf at Shelburne Field House in Shelburne.
Registration: Register for the full season or pay $20 per night.
What to Expect
Expect an active game with passing, movement off the ball, and quick transitions between offense and defense. The pickup format brings together players with different levels of experience, so communication and teamwork help everyone stay involved.
Returning after some time away? This is an opportunity to get your stick moving again and reconnect with the sport. Experienced players are expected to share opportunities and be mindful of differences in skill and experience.
Fair Play and Sportsmanship
Without officials, everyone shares responsibility for keeping games fair and respectful. Follow standard outdoor women’s lacrosse rules, acknowledge fouls, and settle disagreements calmly.
Keep your stick under control and your intensity appropriate for the players around you. Dangerous play, excessive aggression, discriminatory behavior, and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.
What to Wear and Bring
Stick and mouthguard: Both are required.
Goggles: Required for high school players and recommended for adult players.
Footwear: Cleats are recommended, but any clean athletic shoe is acceptable.
Athletic attire: Wear clothing suitable for running and active play.
Water: Bring a water bottle.
