Keep your stick moving with GameOnVT’s Indoor Men’s Lacrosse! Enjoy fast-paced pickup games, competitive matchups, and a chance to connect with other local players. Some lacrosse experience is required. Returning players and experienced regulars are welcome.
Register as an individual and join teams formed each week based on attendance. Short sticks and long poles are welcome, giving players a chance to enjoy indoor field lacrosse in their preferred role.
Program Details
Ages: Geared toward adults 18+. High school players may participate at GameOnVT’s discretion; contact us before registering.
Level: Some lacrosse experience required. Players should understand the basic rules and be comfortable passing, catching, and participating in contact play.
Format: Pickup-style play with six field players plus a goalie per team.
Teams: Teams are randomly formed each week based on attendance.
Sticks: Short sticks and long poles are welcome.
Officiating: Games are unofficiated; players are responsible for fair play and resolving calls respectfully.
Contact: Full contact is allowed, with an expectation of reasonable, controlled play.
Location: Indoor turf at Shelburne Field House in Shelburne.
Registration: Register for the full season or pay $20 per night.
What to Expect
Expect an active game with quick transitions, passing, and plenty of opportunities to get involved. The pickup format brings together players with different levels of experience, so communication and teamwork help everyone enjoy the game.
Come ready to compete while keeping the atmosphere friendly. More experienced players are expected to share opportunities and be mindful of differences in skill, size, and experience.
Contact and Sportsmanship
Full contact is permitted, but this is a community pickup program. Keep contact reasonable and controlled, and adjust your intensity to the players around you. Excessive aggression, reckless checks, retaliation, and attempts to injure have no place here.
Without officials, everyone shares responsibility for keeping games fair and respectful. Acknowledge fouls, settle disagreements calmly, and keep the game moving. Respect teammates and opponents so everyone can enjoy coming back each week.
What to Wear and Bring
Required equipment: Lacrosse helmet, gloves, elbow pads, and a stick.
Recommended protection: Chest/shoulder pads are recommended.
Footwear: Cleats are recommended for play on the indoor turf.
Athletic attire: Wear clothing suitable for running and active play.
Water: Bring a water bottle.
